Wallxy for Clients & Project Owners: See Your Project Without Chasing Updates

Summary

Your project's status shouldn't depend on a phone call, a forwarded photo, or whoever remembers to update you. Wallxy gives you a live, read-only view into the same project record your architect or contractor works from. See drawings, track progress, follow every task through review, and leave comments directly — without needing to manage or edit anything yourself. Less chasing. Less guessing. More visibility.

If you're a client, project owner, or represent one — this is what "being kept in the loop" actually looks like

On Wallxy, the Clients & Project Owners role covers:

  • Broker

  • Developer

  • Homeowner

  • Private Project Owner

  • Real Estate Agent

  • Real Estate Promoter

Whether you're the one footing the bill and waiting to see your building take shape, or you're a broker, agent, or promoter representing someone who is, the position is the same: you're not managing the project, you're not uploading drawings or moving tasks around. You just want to know, honestly, what's actually happening — without a phone call, without waiting for a WhatsApp forward of a photo someone remembered to take.

The Problem

Most clients experience their own project secondhand — a photo update here, a phone call there, a drawing PDF emailed when someone remembers. There's no single place to check status yourself, and no way to leave a comment or flag a concern without starting a separate conversation outside whatever the actual project record is.

The Solution

Wallxy gives you a live, read-only view into the actual project — structure, drawings, and progress — the same record your architect or contractor is working from, not a summary of it. You can see status whenever you want and weigh in through comments, without needing edit access to anything.

See your project without asking for updates

Once you're added to a project, you get Viewer-level access — which sounds limited but is actually the point. You can see the full project structure, every drawing uploaded, and where each task sits in its approval flow — Pending → Submitted → Under Review → Approved (or sent back as Revision Required) — in real time, exactly as your architect or contractor sees it. No summarized version, no filtered update. The same record, read-only.

If your project team uses the Generate Board feature, they can hand or send you a printed or digital project sheet with QR codes — scan one and it takes you straight into the relevant section (media, drawings, or tasks) of your project. Worth knowing: this still opens through your logged-in Wallxy account, not as an anonymous public link, so make sure you've accepted your invite and can log in before you rely on it.

Weigh in without managing the file

Viewer access means you can't upload, edit, or move anything — but on projects where the firm has a Go or Pro subscription, project discussions are open to you too. That means you can leave a comment directly against a drawing or task — flag a concern, ask a question, approve of a direction — without opening a side conversation over email or WhatsApp that lives outside the actual project record.

What you can't do (and why that's fine)

To be direct about it: as a Viewer, you can't upload drawings, change a task's stage, or move something into an approved state yourself. That authority stays with the project owner — the architect, contractor, or developer of record — the same way it does for consultants and every other invited role on the project. That's a deliberate design choice, not a gap: you get full visibility without being handed a way to accidentally move something out of sequence on a build you're not managing day to day.

How you get added

Same mechanism as every other role on Wallxy: the project owner sends you an invite through Invite as Role, with your role pre-selected — Homeowner, Developer, Broker, whichever fits — before it's even sent. You accept it, and you're straight into a read-only view of the project — no setup, no configuration on your end.

No plan needed on your end

You don't need to think about pricing tiers at all. Your access rides on the plan the project team already has — if you can't see discussions or comments, that's a signal for them to check their subscription, not something you need to manage yourself.

Getting started — a short checklist

  • Accept your project invite and confirm you can log in

  • Take a look through the project's structure and drawings once, so you know where things are

  • Check in on task progress whenever you want — no need to ask first

  • Use comments to raise questions or flag concerns directly against the relevant drawing or task

  • If you were handed a printed board with QR codes, make sure you're logged in before scanning on-site

FAQ

Can I approve a drawing myself?
No — approval authority stays with the project owner (architect, contractor, or developer). You can comment and raise concerns, but formal sign-off isn't a Viewer action.

Do I need to pay for anything?
No — your access is part of the project the team has already set up. Your only requirement is being invited and accepting.

Can I scan a QR code on a printed project board without logging in?
No — QR codes on a Generate Board sheet open through your logged-in Wallxy account, not as a public anonymous link. Make sure you've accepted your invite first.

Can I comment on drawings and tasks?
Yes, if the project team's workspace is on a Go or Pro plan — comments and discussions are gated by their subscription, not by your role.

What if I want to see something I don't currently have access to?
Ask the project owner — access changes go through them, not through a self-service request on your end.
