Wallxy for Product & Materials: Publish Your Catalog & Get Found — Not Just Another PDF

Summary

Your catalog, products, quotes and project contributions shouldn't be scattered across email PDFs, WhatsApp forwards and outdated attachments. Wallxy brings your entire product listing into one connected, discoverable workspace. Publish your catalog, get found by architects and designers actively browsing, submit quotes and specs directly on live projects, and keep every listing current the moment you update it. Less forwarding. Less guessing. More visibility.

If you're on the supply side of a project — you're used to being one PDF among many

On Wallxy, the Product & Materials role covers:

  • Authorized Dealer

  • Brand

  • Brand Manager

  • Dealership Representative

  • Manufacturer

  • Marketing Executive

  • Marketing Representative

  • Material Consultant

  • Product Supplier

  • Showroom

  • Technical Supporter

  • Vendor

Whatever your role in getting materials or products onto a project — supplying, manufacturing, dealing, or representing a brand — the way you're usually found hasn't changed in years: a PDF catalog forwarded to whichever architect happens to ask, re-sent to the next one, and buried the moment the email thread moves on to the next attachment.

The Problem

Your catalog only exists where you personally send it. It's not searchable, it goes stale the moment you update a price or add a product, and there's no way to know who's actually looked at it or which architects are browsing for exactly what you sell. If a product gets discontinued or a spec changes, every copy you've already emailed out is now wrong, and you have no way to fix it. Getting pulled onto a live project usually depends on someone remembering to loop you in manually.

The Solution

Wallxy gives you a catalog that lives in one place, stays current the moment you edit it, and shows up in front of architects, designers and contractors who are actively browsing — not just the ones you happened to email. When you're added to a project, you contribute against it directly instead of sending files back and forth.

Why "one PDF among many" stops working

Think about how an architect actually looks for a supplier today: they ask around, they check whoever emailed most recently, or they Google it. None of that surfaces the best-fit product — it surfaces whoever was loudest or most recent. A static PDF can't be searched by category, can't be filtered by material type, and can't show up next to a competitor's catalog for a side-by-side comparison. It's a dead end the moment it leaves your outbox.

Wallxy's catalog system exists specifically to fix that — not by giving you a nicer PDF, but by making your product data structured, searchable, and living somewhere people are already browsing.

Build a catalog that's actually discoverable

Instead of a PDF, your products live as a structured catalog: a name, a catalog type and subcategory (so it's classified correctly, not just dumped into a generic bucket), a description, and tags that make it searchable. You can attach a cover image, multiple catalog files (spec sheets, brochures, price lists), and — if your product line benefits from it — 3D models, so an architect can actually inspect what they're specifying instead of guessing from a photo.

Every catalog is backed by a text search index on its name, description and tags, so a well-tagged catalog isn't just sitting there — it's actively findable when someone searches for what you sell.

How discovery actually works

Set a catalog's visibility to Public and it becomes eligible to appear in Wallxy's Explore feed — the same browsing surface architects, interior designers and contractors use to find suppliers. New public catalogs surface by recency, so publishing regularly keeps you visible. But Explore also tracks trending catalog types and subcategories, meaning a catalog in a category that's currently getting attention can surface through trending, not just through being newest. Every catalog also tracks likes and saves, so you get a real signal on what's actually landing with the people browsing — not a guess based on who replied to your last email.

Manage multiple catalogs, at different stages

You're not limited to one catalog, and you're not forced to make everything public the moment you start building it. From "My Catalogs" you can:

  • Create a new catalog and leave it as a Draft while you're still adding products, files, or 3D models

  • Switch it to Public once it's ready, making it eligible for Explore

  • Keep a client-specific or not-yet-finalized catalog set to Private indefinitely

  • Edit, view it as a visitor would, or share a direct link — useful for sending one specific catalog to one specific architect, without making your whole product line public

Running several product lines — say a residential range and a commercial range — just means managing them as separate catalogs, each with its own visibility state.

Contributing on a live project

Once you're added to a project — usually via the same Invite as Role flow covered for other roles on Wallxy, with your designation pre-selected — you're scoped to contribute your material lists, quotes, or specs directly against that project instead of emailing files to whoever's coordinating it. As with every other role brought onto someone else's project, submission and review follow the same platform-wide rule: you submit and update your own contributions, but final approval authority stays with the project owner, not with you. You always know your material or quote is sitting in review rather than wondering if anyone's seen it.

Choosing a plan

Wallxy's plans scale by team size, project count and storage — the same tiers as every other role on the platform:

A solo supplier or dealer testing whether Explore actually brings in inquiries can start on Free. A brand or manufacturer managing several catalogs, contributing across multiple live projects, or storing 3D models and multiple spec-sheet files per catalog will want the storage headroom that Go or Pro give.

Getting started — a short checklist

  • Create your first catalog, and don't rush it — a clear name, the right catalog type/subcategory, a real description, and relevant tags are what make it findable

  • Add a cover image, your catalog files (brochures, spec sheets), and 3D models if your product line benefits from them

  • Leave it as a Draft until it's genuinely ready, then switch it to Public so it's eligible for Explore

  • Keep any client-specific or unfinished catalog Private, and use direct share links where you want one-to-one visibility instead of public discovery

  • Accept any project invites with your role pre-assigned, and contribute directly against the project instead of emailing files

FAQ

Does my catalog show up automatically once I create it?
Only if it's set to Public — new catalogs can be left as a Draft while you're still building them, and stay invisible to everyone but you until you publish.

Can I run more than one catalog?
Yes — manage as many as you need from "My Catalogs," each with its own visibility setting, so you can mix public, private, and draft catalogs at the same time.

How do architects actually find my catalog?
Through Wallxy's Explore feed, where public catalogs surface by recency and by trending category — plus your catalog's own search index on name, description and tags.

Can I add 3D models, or just images and PDFs?
Both — a catalog supports a cover image, multiple catalog files, and 3D models if your products benefit from them.

Can I share one catalog privately with a specific architect without making it public?
Yes — you can share a direct link to a specific catalog without changing its overall visibility.

Can I approve my own submissions on a project I'm added to?
No — as with other roles, review and approval authority stays with the project owner, even on what you submit yourself.
