The Ultimate Guide to the Wallxy Explore Module
A complete, section-by-section breakdown of the Wallxy Explore module. Learn how to search, use location filters, and discover top architecture professionals.
Wallxy isn't just a powerful project management toolβit is also a massive, interconnected community of Indian architecture and construction professionals.
Whether you are looking for design inspiration, searching for a specific material catalog, or trying to find a verified civil contractor in your city, the Wallxy Explore module is your ultimate search engine.
This guide provides a detailed, section-by-section breakdown of every feature on the Explore page and exactly how you can use them to grow your network.
1. The Global Search Bar (The Core Engine)
Located right in the center of the page, the global search bar is your primary navigation tool.
How it works: It acts as a universal search engine across the entire Wallxy ecosystem. It says "Search Wallxy for ideas, projects and catalogs..."
What you can search: You can type anything into this bar. If you type "Concrete", the system will instantly scan for project titles featuring concrete, catalogs from concrete suppliers, and professionals who specialize in concrete work. It is incredibly powerful and fast.
2. The 6 Main Module Tabs
Right above the search bar, you will see a row of tabs. These tabs allow you to isolate the exact type of content you are looking for.
All (The Default View): This gives you a unified feed. It blends inspiration images, full project portfolios, and professional profiles into one seamless, infinite-scrolling feed.
π‘ Ideas: Think of this as Wallxy's internal Pinterest. This tab only shows single-image posts. It is perfect for browsing moodboards, such as searching for specific Lighting Details or Facade Textures without having to click through a full project portfolio.
ποΈ Projects: This tab filters out the single images and only shows comprehensive, multi-image portfolios uploaded by architecture and interior design firms. Use this when you want to study the complete execution of a building from start to finish.
π Catalog: The ultimate library for construction materials. This tab isolates official PDF catalogs uploaded by vendors, brands (like Asian Paints or Jaquar), and professionals. It is a digital library for your specifications.
π₯ People: Need to hire? This tab strips away the images and acts as a directory of individual professionals on the platform (e.g., Freelance Draftsmen, 3D Visualizers, Junior Architects).
π’ Companies: A strict directory of verified design and construction firms. (If you haven't set up your firm yet, check out our guide on How to Set Up Your Company Profile to ensure your firm appears on this list!)
3. Quick-Access Tags
Directly below the search bar, you will notice a row of pill-shaped buttons (e.g., Bedroom ideas, Decor & styling, Exterior & facade, Furniture design, Home interior).
What they do: These are one-click shortcuts to the most heavily searched topics on Wallxy. Instead of typing "Bedroom ideas" into the search bar, you can simply click the tag, and the feed below will instantly reorganize to show you only bedroom-related inspiration and projects.
4. The Advanced Filters (Left Sidebar)
As the network grows, scrolling through thousands of posts isn't efficient. The left-hand sidebar gives you granular control over what you see.
Location Filter: This is the most powerful tool for networking.
Search Bar: You can manually type a city (e.g., "Pune") to find professionals or projects exclusively in that city.
Use Current Location: By clicking this blue text with the crosshair icon, Wallxy will use your browser's GPS to instantly show you contractors, architects, and projects operating in your immediate physical vicinity.
Categories List: Below the location filter is a vertical checklist of all architectural and interior categories. Clicking any of these bullet points acts as a hard filter on the main content grid.
5. The Content Grid (Center Screen)
This is where the actual content lives. Based on your tabs and filters, the grid will populate with highly visual "Cards."
Example Card: In the main view, you might see a large, high-quality image card titled "MODULAR KITCHEN DESIGN INDIA β COMPLETE GUIDE 2026". These cards display the cover image, the title of the project or idea, and a small profile picture indicating which firm or user uploaded it. Clicking the card opens the full project view.
6. The Insights & Activity Feed (Right Sidebar)
On the right side of your screen, Wallxy provides dynamic widgets that keep you updated on the heartbeat of the community.
π Trending Subcategory: This highlights the most popular, fast-growing topic currently being searched or uploaded on Wallxy. For example, if "Professional Practice Guides" is trending, it means a large volume of users are currently reading about firm management. It's a great way to spot industry trends.
π Recent Activity: This acts as a live ticker of the platform's heartbeat. It shows you exactly which companies, architects, or users have most recently updated their profiles or published new projects. You will see the firm's name (e.g., CAVES ARCHITECTURE, caves studio architects) along with a timestamp of their exact activity date.
π Network Stats: Located near the bottom, this section shows live statistics on the sheer scale of the Wallxy network, proving how active the community is.
π¬ Feedback Button: The purple button at the bottom right allows you to instantly send suggestions or report bugs directly to the Wallxy development team without leaving the page.
Why You Should Actively Use the Explore Feed
The Explore feed isn't just for lookingβit's for being found.
Every time you upload a public Project to your Company Profile, or save an Idea to a public folder, it gets indexed into this feed. When clients or other contractors search for services in your city using the Location Filter, your firm will appear in their grid.
The more active you are on Wallxy, the higher you will rank in the Explore network!
π WANT TO GET FEATURED?
If you want your firm's latest project to be featured at the top of the Explore feed or in the Trending section, make sure your project is set to "Public" and utilizes high-resolution imagery.
